How Much is Your Dream Kitchen Going to Cost?

Waukee CabinetWorks offers products and designs that stay within budget, yet doesn't skip out on style. Sometimes even the smallest things in a kitchen design can end up costing you a lot of money. We make sure that you stay in your budget, yet still, receive the kitchen or bathroom of your dreams.

When you work with our designers, they will provide you with designs and color renderings of your kitchen, so you know exactly what you are receiving. The drawings below are all of the same 12'x12' kitchen but are each designed differently depending on price points. The prices that are listed are estimates and do not include demolition or installation.

Basic Design

This first design is one of our more basic designs. Something like this would cost around $9,000. It would include wall cabinets that are 30" tall. It has hardly any decorative features, so no crown molding or bottom molding. It also does not have any accessories, but it does include skins, a toe kick, touch-up kit, quarter round molding or a scribe for installation.

The cost of this kitchen does include decorative hardware, laminate countertops, fixtures and appliances. Here is the final breakdown of this design:

Cabinets - $6,000

Decorative Hardware - $150

Laminate Countertops - $1,000

Fixtures (Sink/Faucet) - $250

Appliances - $1,600

Total - $9,000

Intermediate Design

The next step up in kitchen design is this kitchen, which would cost about $18,000. It includes 36" high wall cabinets, as well as crown molding to the ceiling and light rail bottom molding, which the Basic design did not include. There are also accessories included in this design, such as roll-out trays, a wastebasket cabinet and drawer inserts. It also includes skins, a toe kick, touch-up kit, quarter round molding or a scribe for installation.

This design does have a backsplash, which is a step-up from the basic design. It also includes decorative hardware, stock granite countertops, fixtures and appliances. Here is a breakdown of this design:

Cabinets - $10,000

Backsplash - $250

Decorative Hardware - $250

Stock Granite Countertops - $3,500

Fixtures (Sink/Faucet) - $500

Appliances - $3,500

Total - $18,000

Semi-Custom Design

This kitchen design costs approximately $36,000. You will notice that this kitchen includes many of the same features as the intermediate kitchen, but just at a higher value. It has 36" wall cabinets, along with two-stage crown molding to ceiling and matching bottom molding. It includes more cabinet accessories, such as roll-out trays, drawer inserts, appliance cabinets, wainscot panel, decorative ends, a wood hood, two-drawer storage cabinets and a pantry. The price also includes skins, a toe kick, touch-up kit, quarter round molding or a scribe for installation.

Similar to the intermediate design, this kitchen features a backsplash, decorative hardware, quartz countertops, fixtures and appliances. Here is a price breakdown of this design:

Cabinets - $20,000

Backsplash - $750

Decorative Hardware - $500

Quartz Countertops - $7,500

Fixtures (Sink/Faucet) - $1,250

Appliances - $6,000

Total - $36,000

Custom Design

This final design is a full custom kitchen. It features inset cabinets and staggered cabinet heights. There is two-stage crown molding and matching bottom molding for decorative purposes. As far as cabinet accessories go, there are roll-out trays, drawer inserts, appliance cabinets, a wainscot panel, integrated end panels, a wood hood, two-drawer storage cabinets and a pantry. It does include skins, a toe kick, touch-up kit, quarter round molding or a scribe for installation.

Additionally, this custom kitchen design has a backsplash, decorative hardware, premium quartz/natural stone countertops, fixtures and appliances. Here is a final price breakdown of this custom kitchen:

Cabinets - $30,000

Backsplash - $750

Decorative Hardware - $750

Premium Quartz/Natural Stone Countertops - $10,000

Fixtures (Sink/Faucet/Lighting) - $1,750

Appliances - $6,750

Total - $50,000
